With the continuing spread of COVID-19, the search for work is even more complicated, especially for needy marginalized families. Our food pack parcel initiative helps the less fortunate put food on the table and offset their living expenses. Our local volunteer assists us in the sorting and packing process during our initiative. The food pack parcel contains rice, olive oil, wheat, lentils, beans,..etc, and non-perishable food items. Each one of our food packs will help the family for 3 weeks.
Our campaign is divided into two parts. The first is to distribute food parcels to needy families in marginalized areas. Second, vouchers will be distributed to needy families whose places of residence are close to city centers grocery shops.
Last year we worked in conjunction with a community Doctor, medication was purchased for some of the most vulnerable residents of Refugee Camps in Bethlehem. This included a six-month supply of diabetes or heart medication for elderly residents, as well as the purchase of arm and leg splints for young, disabled children.
Cash donations were handed out to over 30 carers of orphan children and widowed women of the refugee camps.
